Detoxification = the process of removing toxic substances, pathogens, pain, tension, emotions, self-limiting beliefs and/or energy so the true you may thrive.

As illustrated in the Resonate Health logo, the detox aspect of the healing process may be viewed as the darker underside portion of the circle, analogous to the, often unconscious, shadow aspects of ourselves that we may not be totally aware of. This includes pathogens, toxins, unprocessed bodily trauma, stuck emotions, self-limiting beliefs, negative energy and/or fractures in your soul.

Bringing these aspects to the surface to appropriately detox and let go of may not always be experienced as the “fun” part of healing but it is an essential component to the process so that you can ultimately be able to integrate new, nourishing patterns of living in health as you rid yourself of the self-limiting ones. The symbol would not be whole unless both the light and dark shadow aspects of the self and healing are present. It is through the darkness that you are able to emerge into the light.

When you integrate the Resonate Health approach and release what is no longer serving you in your greatest and highest good, you align yourself with your true resonance. This allows you and your body to get rid of the extra physical, mental, emotional and/or spiritual baggage you carry, which can be stored in your physical organs, brain, tissues, cells and even your biofield.

Without appropriate detoxification support, the various pathogens and toxins of all kinds will stay inside you, circulating to find another home in vulnerable areas of your body. This typically creates dis-ease and wreaks havoc on your ability to function and heal, while perpetuating the cycle to continue.

To be the more vital and true You, you have to get rid of anything that isn't organically You.

What is a detox or healing response?
A detox response indicates you are letting go of what is no longer serving you. This is fantastic and an integral part of your healing journey, although sometimes the experience can be challenging to manage.

Detox reactions can vary from subtle to severe.

Resonate Health believes detox is an important, healthy and natural part of healing but also a continuous inherent life process.

Sometimes what appears to be a detox response is actually not one

There is so much going on within and around us that we are unaware of. When we start to not feel well, we typically blame what we are programmed to. For example, if we start to take a new supplement or introduce a new healing food and if we concurrently feel sick we usually blame the supplement or food. However, there are many other possibilities which include:
  • Unknowing recent exposure to a toxin or pathogen. We are constantly being bombarded with these. Examples of common everyday toxins can include inhaling gasoline from filling up your car (or it touching your skin), a toxic cologne from a colleague, air freshener at the dentist's office or ammonia from cleaning your bathroom windows. Our food can contain a myriad of possible toxins and troublemakers as well as the supplements your are taking. Furthermore, viruses and bacteria are relentlessly coming into contact with our bodies via the air, food, water and commonly touched surfaces such as door handles, toilets, etc.
  • Chronic underlying pathogens have natural cycles of ramping up and down their concentration in your body. One example of this pertains to women who still experience a menstrual cycle as chronic pathogens are less unchecked during it because of the immune system's resources being redirected to the reproductive system. That is why women tend to feel more tired and symptomatic during their cycle.
  •  Chronic illness symptoms take awhile to develop. You may be in the process of working on detoxification when a new symptom arises. This could be due to a longstanding build-up of toxins and pathogens that are unable to be contained anymore which can often be precipitated by some sort of trigger. Examples of triggers include:
    • High stress experiences such as loss of job, loved one, betrayal, hardship, etc
    • Medications: For those that have been chronically sick for a long time they likely have been prescribed a number of medications which inherently have toxic elements to them. These substances accumulate in your liver and once your liver reaches capacity there may be toxic spillage into your body. If you are working on detox but are still on a medications, it is suggested to work with your doctor to try to come off of them at a pace that works best for you.

Therefore, if you start to experience a symptom, ask yourself if it's one you have had before and carefully consider the above mentioned possibilities.

We aim to minimize the intensity of any potential detox reaction so you may integrate and align with ease. To understand, support yourself and reduce any detox reaction(s) you may be experiencing, review the information below.
