03. Processing and Channeling Emotions Meditation

The intention of this meditation is to bring to the surface and release any emotion you are carrying that is negatively impacting your health and wellbeing to restore optimal energy flow.

Many times we harbor such emotions without even being aware of them and how they may be creating tension and pain in our body as well as unconsciously influencing our choices, behaviors and attitudes. You may have known patterns of denial, repression and suppression, bottling up or holding back emotions for whatever your reasons or beliefs. You may also unknowingly ignore your feelings or not know how to even acknowledge and feel them, so you embrace the many daily distractions like TV, social media, alcohol, caffeine, drugs, sex, anything to avoid tuning into yourself and being still and present with what is there inside you.

We may even ignore and suppress some emotions by overly focusing on what we consider “positive” emotions and experiences. While giving attention and energy to what makes you feel good and being grateful for this is absolutely essential to resonating health, it doesn't necessarily equate to appropriately extinguishing emotions such as grief, loss, frustration, anger, rage, etc that are being held within your body-heart-mind-spirit complex, sometimes for many years.

It is important to remember that the nature of the universe which extends to us humans and even down to the particles that comprise us, are created by both positive and negative forces. Both are essential to our existence and drive our evolution. By choosing to ignore the negative, shadow aspect of our beings is to disregard our other half!

It is unhealthy and unrealistic to expect you will go through your life avoiding emotions that don’t feel good. Emotions serve an important purpose and exist to help you express yourself, inform you and guide you. When you are resonating health you have the ability to resonate amongst and work with the entire range of human emotions and learn to harness emotional energy to your advantage and to be reminded of the beauty of life itself.

Although this is a guided healing meditation, you will be the one who ultimately regulates your experience.

  • This technique has the potential to increase heat that is generated in your body, nervous system and brain because you are focusing on an area that is painful or “inflamed” in some way. This heat needs to be managed so the system doesn’t overheat and so you don’t feel “fried” or exhausted.
  • To support you in managing any heat created during this experience, it is highly recommended to use the Medical Medium, Brain Soothing Juice, so your experience is comfortable and any detox reactions are more easily manageable. You may drink this juice just before and during the experience, but it is recommended to have a full serving after you complete the meditation.

Preparation Recommendations
  • Set your Intention. Adapt this to create your own that is specific to the area or physical sensation you want to address:
    • “I set the intention to address whatever emotion or emotional energy that you need right now to support your highest and greatest good and is key for your growth.”
    • Be as specific as you want, you may already know the body part, emotion and other specific aspects that you can include like the specific things that trigger it.
    • State your intention out loud and write it down or in your journal to increase the power of this meditation.
  • Location 
    • A quiet and safe space where you will be undisturbed is ideal.
    • You can do this in your bed if you have no other open space that you feel comfortable in but an open area that you can freely move and make noise is best.
  • Optional equipment to have with you or easily accessible (you may or may not use them all, each experience is unique)
    • 1-3 ice packs or bags of ice, small - medium sized. For the back of the neck, wrists and anywhere on the body to cool off or calm down.
    • Tissues
    • 2-5 pillows to support your head, legs, and to hold.
    • Blankets or towels for extra prop support
    • Water
    • Designated “hitting tools” - any item that you can use to hit a pillow or soft surface with that will provide a satisfying and safe experience. Ie. wooden spoon, kids plastic baseball bat, decor pillows.

Perform this meditation 1x within the next 3 days then as often as ~ 1x a week or as often as desired. *Unless otherwise directed

    • As you become familiar with this meditation process you have the option of performing it independently without audio guidance.
    • Optionally, use your testing technique to determine your optimal frequency and duration to listen to and use this meditation.
    • Refer to the Resonate Health Meditation Tips to optimize your experience.
    • For continued integration, work with your new affirmation.
      • Repeat your affirmation 7x, while gently and continuously tapping around your ears as you generate the positive replacement emotion. Notice how it makes you feel. 
      • Do this 1-3x/day, for the next 7 days, looking into a mirror while doing this is optional.
