07. Emotional Factors Behind Sleep

Trouble sleeping? You are not alone as this is an epidemic problem for many of us in today’s age. If so, you most likely have already heard that you shouldn’t sleep with your electronic devices near you and to minimize screen time 1-2 hours before going to bed. You may have even tried blue-blocker glasses. You also may have been told to not eat within 2 hours of going to sleep or exercise at night. You could have black out shades or perhaps ear plugs or an eye mask. Yet, you are still struggling to either:

  • Fall asleep and may not be able to until the early hours of the morning as you experience a surge of energy late at night.
  • Stay asleep as you keep waking up in the middle of the night either to urinate, because of pain or some other unknown reason
  • Fall back asleep after waking
  • Feel refreshed and rested upon waking which may continue throughout the day
  • Breathe-you may have been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea and/or your partner has mentioned you snore.

Why does this happen? Well, it can be a bit complicated and there are a number of reasons which can also interact with one another. We have broken them down between structural, physiological and emotional factors. This article will focus on the emotional components to sleep dysfunction. However, be sure to check out the structural and physiological articles pertaining to sleep as we typically all have some issues in each category that cross-interact.

Possible Emotional Factors that are Impacting Sleep and Solutions

Emotional wounds are tied up and interconnected with physiological ones. When you experience an emotional injury, the emotional centers of your brain will heat up which can potentially injure your brain tissue. This is more likely to occur if you have any of the following below.

  • Explore the following explanations or you may use your testing technique to determine if any of the following pertain to you.

  1. Experienced a very intense emotional wound
  2. Suffered similar and/or repeated emotional injuries
  3. Continue to perseverate on an issue or wound where you can’t get your mind off of it
  4. Pre-existing excessive heat in your brain due to underlying physiological factors such as:
    • Toxins in your brain such as heavy metals or other chemicals
    • Viruses releasing debris and neurotoxins. Viruses don’t necessarily need to be in your brain to wreak havoc on it. They can reside elsewhere in your body releasing neurotoxins that then travel to your brain causing harm.
    • Poor digestion with putrefying and rancid fats in your gut releasing ammonia that travels into your brain
    • Callused, scarred and/or hardened brain tissue which further disrupts the electrical brain circuitry
    • Caffeine in your diet
    • High fat in your diet
    • Chronic dehydration
    • Deficiencies in electrolytes, B12 and critical clean carbohydrates

Therefore, when addressing emotional factors contributing to sleep problems, it is essential to concurrently work on the physiological ones as well.

Call in the Angel of Sleep or the Angel of Dreams.

Call in the Angel of Sleep or the Angel of Dreams

When working with Angels you need to specifically request their help out loud. This helps the message be clearly heard and received beyond all the mental chatter in your mind. If for some reason you are unable to speak, the angels understand this and will be able to receive your prayers in your mind. You may also write the request down.

It’s also helpful and appreciated for you to thank the angels. Therefore, when you get a chance, give them some verbal appreciation for all the great work and miracles they are helping to manifest for you and others.

Here is an example of how to ask for their help. “Hello Angel of ________. Can you please help me with ______________. Thank you for listening and any assistance you can provide.”
