One of the hardest aspects of healing is making meaningful and lasting changes in your diet. On some level, most people intuitively know that fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, wild foods and herbs are the most supportive foods for the body. Yet knowing what to do and actually doing it consistently are very different realities.
Food cravings and addictions are real. More often than not, people continue patterns that lead to declining health rather than making the changes necessary to heal. This is not simply a lack of willpower.
At Resonate Health, we understand that food-related struggles can originate at multiple levels: body, heart, mind and soul. If you only address one level, progress is often limited or temporary.
Resonate Health integrates both established scientific understanding and non-mainstream perspectives, including the principles outlined by Anthony William and the Medical Medium framework. These perspectives challenge conventional models but are recommended due to their consistent observed clinical impact.
Browse the following or use your testing technique to determine if any apply to you at this time.
At the body level, your biochemistry is actively shaping your cravings and food preferences. Substances such as caffeine, alcohol, salt, processed sugars, high fat and high protein foods, additives, gluten and dairy all influence the body in ways that reinforce continued consumption while promoting inflammation.
Pattern:
Cravings for sugar or alcohol, especially when energy is low or unstable.
What’s happening:
These cravings are often driven by inadequate glucose and depleted glycogen reserves, particularly in the liver.
Solution:
Increase clean carbohydrate intake through fruit, potatoes, sweet potatoes, winter squash, raw honey and coconut water. Eat regularly and avoid fasting while the body is rebuilding stability.
Pattern:
Dependence on caffeine or chocolate for energy, focus or mood.
What’s happening:
This reflects a reliance on adrenaline as a primary energy source.
Solution:
Reduce stimulants while addressing the underlying drivers of adrenaline dependence.
Pattern:
Feeling better after eating high fat or high protein foods, followed by crashes, cravings or the need for repeated stimulation.
What’s happening:
Most high protein foods are also high in fat, including meat, eggs, dairy and nuts. Within the Resonate Health model, informed by Medical Medium principles, high fat intake reduces oxygen in the blood, thickens the blood and shifts the body away from efficient glucose utilization.
Fat enters cells in a way that blocks glucose from being used effectively. As a result, the body is forced to rely on adrenaline to maintain energy. This adrenaline response can feel like stable energy, but it is ultimately a stress response that leads to crashes and dependency.
This is why many people feel better on high fat or high protein diets. They are not running on stable energy, they are running on adrenaline.
Solution:
Lower fat intake while increasing clean carbohydrates. Support the body in returning to glucose-based energy production and address the underlying reasons for adrenaline dependence.
Pattern:
Strong desire for salty foods.
What’s happening:
This can reflect mineral deficiencies and adrenal stress.
Solution:
Focus on whole food sources of electrolytes such as leafy greens, fruit, coconut water and vegetables like celery, cucumber and tomatoes.
Pattern:
Persistent cravings for foods like gluten, dairy or eggs.
What’s happening:
These foods feed underlying pathogens such as viruses and bacteria. Those pathogens drive continued cravings in order to sustain themselves while also contributing to ongoing inflammation.
Solution:
Remove gluten, dairy and eggs. Consider eliminating other problematic foods such as corn, soy and canola oil to reduce the burden on the body and limit what is feeding these pathogens.
When beginning dietary changes, start with what is realistic. For some this may be increasing hydration. For others it may involve a more complete shift. As the body becomes cleaner and more stable, it becomes easier to maintain healthier patterns.
The body is not the only influence on food behavior.
Pattern:
Eating for comfort, stress relief or emotional regulation.
What’s happening:
Foods that trigger adrenaline, such as caffeine and high fat foods, are often used to shift emotional states. In addition, many food preferences are tied to earlier life experiences where certain foods became associated with safety, comfort and connection.
Solution:
Identify emotional patterns connected to food and begin repatterning those associations.
Pattern:
Feeling stuck or unable to follow through with dietary changes despite knowing what to do.
What’s happening:
Underlying beliefs about food, health and identity create resistance. These beliefs shape behavior whether you are aware of them or not.
Solution:
Identify and challenge limiting beliefs so that your actions can align with your health goals.
For some individuals, addressing the body, emotions and beliefs is still not enough.
Pattern:
Persistent blocks to healing that do not resolve despite doing everything “right.”
What’s happening:
At the soul level, negatively oriented spiritual entities can interfere with your ability to heal. These influences can affect your physical health, emotional state, thoughts and behaviors, including food cravings and self-sabotaging patterns.
Solution:
Addressing this level may involve practices such as entity clearing, biofield tuning and targeted meditation work to remove interference and restore alignment.
Food cravings and dietary struggles are not random and they are not simply a matter of discipline. They are driven by interactions across the body, heart, mind and soul.
When all four levels are addressed together, change becomes more sustainable. What once felt like constant effort begins to shift into something more natural.
Healing is not just about choosing different foods. It is about removing the barriers that prevent you from doing so.
