01. 3-6-9 Original Cleanse

There are 3 different 3-6-9 Medical Medium cleanses (original, simplified and advanced) that focus on clearing out toxins and pathogens from your liver (as well as the rest of your body). 3-6-9 cleanses are 9 days long and structured into three 3 day increments where you gradually rev up and detox your liver culminating in a huge release on the final day of the cleanse.

These cleanses are an amazingly powerful way to safely unearth long buried and stored toxins in your liver creating newfound vitality in all domains of your health. They can be referenced in more detail in Cleanse to Heal and Liver Rescue, where the original 3-6-9 was born.

The original 3-6-9 cleanses “the liver and other organs a lifetime of troublemakers (poisons, toxins and the viruses and bacteria that feed on them) responsible for creating chronic illnesses and symptoms such as heart palpitations, hot flashes, tingles, numbness, aches and pains, vertigo, dizziness, brain fog, migraines, anxiety, depression, bloating, fatigue, reproductive conditions, thyroid conditions, lupus, Lyme disease, RA, psoriatic arthritis, eczema, psoriasis, acne, UTIs and so much more.” (Cleanse to Heal p. 89).

To optimally support you, we provided 2 views of the original 3-6-9 cleanse below. The first view provides the information for each day fully listed out. The second view is a chart format outlining the entire 9 day cleanse, this is best viewed on a computer. Use whatever view is easiest for you to follow to support you during this cleanse and review all information before starting. When embarking on a 3-6-9 cleanse it is highly recommended you consult Cleanse to Heal.

Browse the following 3-6-9 cleanse to familiarize yourself. Implement this version of the 3-6-9 cleanse within the next 1-3 days and maintain the protocol for the rest of that cleanse until complete. The Original 3-6-9 Cleanse:

Days 7-8

Morning:

    • Immediately upon waking:
        • Drink 16 oz of lemon water. (½ lemon/16 oz water). It is best to squeeze directly from a lemon or lime.
        • Wait 15-30 min after consuming, do not drink/eat anything during this time.
    • 15-30 min after lemon water:
    • Breakfast - 15-30 min after celery juice:
    • Morning snack:
        • If you are hungry you may make the Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie to have later in the morning. Feel free to adjust the portions if needed.

Mid-Day:

Evening:

    • Dinner:
        • Day 7: Have steamed squash, sweet potatoes, yams or potatoes with steamed asparagus and/or steamed brussels sprouts. Option to have with Liver Rescue Salad.
        • Day 8: Have steamed asparagus and/or steamed brussels sprouts. Option to have with Liver Rescue Salad.

  • Days 1-6: 1-2 apples or applesauce plus celery sticks
  • Days 7-8: 
    • Wait at least 60 min after lunch to consume 16 oz celery juice.
    • Wait 15-30 min to consume 1-2 apples or applesauce plus celery sticks

  • Days 1-3: Meal of your choice within guidelines below
  • Days 4-6: Liver Rescue Salad with:
    • Day 4: Steamed asparagus
    • Day 5: Steamed brussels sprouts
    • Day 6: Steamed asparagus and brussels sprouts
  • Days 7-8: Optional optional Liver Rescue Salad with:
    • Day 7: Steamed squash, sweet potatoes, yams or potatoes with steamed asparagus and/or brussels sprouts
    • Day 8: Steamed asparagus and/or brussels sprouts

Guidelines
  • For days 1-3 meals of your choice, avoid eggs, dairy, gluten, soft drinks, salt and seasonings, pork, corn, soy, lamb, tuna, fish and seafood, all vinegars, caffeine (including coffee, matcha and chocolate), all grains, alcohol, fermented foods, nutritional yeast, citric acid, MSG, aspartame, other artificial sweeteners, formaldehyde and preservatives.
  • Reduce your radical fats (nuts, seeds, oils, olives, coconut, avocado, cacao, bone broth, animal proteins) and beans by 50%.
  • If eating animal products, only have at dinner consisting of lean, low fat, organic, free-range or wild meat, fowl or fish (salmon, trout or sardines)
  • Ideally, stick with these recipes.
  • If you need substitutions, refer to Chapter 21 Cleanse to Heal.
  • For all meals, eat portions that satiate you. Snack when you are hungry on apples or applesauce. You do not want to be hungry.
  • Stay hydrated by drinking 32 oz of water (preferably lemon water) during the day, between your morning and evening lemon waters (with the exception on day 9)
Throughout the rest of the day
  • Another 16-20 oz celery juice in the afternoon 15-30 min apart from other drinks
  • Two 16-20 oz cucumber-apple juices (1 large cucumber + 3 apples)
  • Blended melon, fresh watermelon, papaya, pear or fresh squeezed orange juice as much and as often as desired as long as separate from one another.
  • Water as desired
