Fruit smoothies are your preferred breakfast option!

Do not fear that fruit has too much sugar which is harmful to your health. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Fruit unfortunately has become demonized in some health circles these days which is holding back many people’s healing. Read here to learn more about fruit fear. 

If you get hungry before lunch consider either increasing the volume of your smoothie or having an apple or some other piece of fruit to hold you over until lunch. It is best to avoid consuming any fat before lunchtime so that your liver can use all its energy to focus on detoxing. Furthermore, your cells and brain run directly on glucose. The ideal forms of which fruit naturally supply you. Thus, it is also important to not add any additional protein powders, milks (even nut milks), nut butters, seeds, etc. Just use fruit and whatever extra water, coconut water or pure juice you need to create the desired consistency. 

 

If smoothies do not fit your taste buds the next best breakfast options include:

  • Bowl of fresh fruit
  • Steamed potatoes, sweet potatoes, yams or squash
  • Oatmeal or millet (with water preferred over nut based milk due to its fat content)

 

Browse the following smoothies (1-8) or use your testing technique to determine which are priority for you. Try at least 1 new smoothie in the next 1-3 days and maintain that adjustment for at least 5 days. *Unless directed otherwise
