Adhering to nutritional protocols can be very challenging, especially if they are quite different and restrictive to what you are typically used to eating and drinking. That is why we suggest making changes at a pace that works for you and feels right.
Even though some of these practices and protocols can be quite difficult, it’s important that it doesn’t feel like a huge undue burden but a project that although challenging, you believe is worth giving your effort, intention and energy towards. Even if you can only start with 1 small positive change, that’s definitely better than nothing at all! Do it!
We find that even though a particular protocol or practice may be exactly what someone needs at the physical level, if their heart, mind and soul are not on board it will likely not be successful. In these cases, it is best to focus on healing these other dimensions to open yourself up to being able to take on a nutritional protocol that will ultimately help you.
Once you have been on a protocol for a while, healing and feeling better from it, it is only natural to question how long you need to stay on it. Is it a short term, long term or forever thing? The answer is: It depends….
Browse the following or use your testing technique to determine if any are priority for you at this time.
This includes the types, concentrations and where they are living in your body such as which tissues, organs and if they have progressed into your nervous system. The Epstein-Barr virus, which is quite rampant amongst our population and responsible for many chronic illnesses including general aches and pains, has 4 stages associated with its progression in the body. The nervous system is the final and most advanced stage evoking the most challenging symptoms that are neurological in nature (nerve pain, tingling, numbness, brain fog, dysautonomia, mood dysregulation, etc). Everyone has their own unique toxin and pathogen pattern which will influence their healing timeline. For example, consider the following:
The Resonate Health Liver Detox Protocol is probably the most powerful route to take regarding reducing your underlying toxin and pathogen load.
It is important to be aware that pathogens and even toxins have a level of consciousness to them. It is easy for you to confuse their consciousness with yours. Consider how long they have already successfully been doing so! Pathogens are essentially parasites living off of your life force and body where they ultimately want to live and propagate. Keep in mind that a big reason why you crave and are attached to certain troublemaker foods and beverages is that they are feeding and perpetuating the pathogens in your body. Experiencing a strong desire for ice cream is most likely the pathogens living off you speaking up vs the true You. Learning to discern what is what is a critical skill to develop.
As you clear out toxins and pathogens, you concurrently release associated cravings and toxic emotions. Refer to the Safety, Healing and Detox Support article to learn more about the connection between physical toxins, pathogens and your emotions. Furthermore, as your pathogen and toxin load reduces so do your cravings and attachments to troublemaker foods and beverages. You start to recognize the cause and effect relationship between consuming these substances and how they truly don’t support you feeling your best.
Therefore, as you heal it will become easier and more natural to seek out genuinely healthy foods and beverages and won’t be as much of a sacrifice to give up whatever troublemaker foods and beverages you initially were attached to. You likely will develop aversions to them instead!
The reality of the healing process is that you will inherently experience ups and downs along your journey. This means you will implement a protocol for a while, feel better and then start to reintroduce some of the foods and beverages you had eliminated. As a result, either your symptoms will return or you won’t notice a difference. If you start to notice a return of your symptoms (which can happen immediately, be gradual or delayed) then that is a message that you may need to return to the protocol in some way. If you don’t notice a difference, then you likely have detoxed enough to be able to get away with consuming certain troublemaker foods and beverages. However, keep in mind that by consuming them, particularly in larger quantities, you may again accumulate them to a level where you could experience symptoms again.
It’s important to keep in mind that If you have been off of eggs, dairy and/or gluten for awhile and then reintroduce them, it takes:
Therefore, you may need to reconsider whether it’s worth having any of these to then have to start over again at removing them from your system which takes 3 months.
Remember, the primary reason to avoid the top troublemaker foods such as eggs, dairy and gluten is that they feed pathogens. If you inherently have a low pathogen load these items may not be triggering for you. However, by consuming them, particularly on a regular basis, you can put yourself more at risk and vulnerable to viral infections that could become chronic in nature. An example would be “Long COVID Syndrome.”
Besides eggs, dairy and gluten, there are many other troublemaker foods and beverages that can also serve as fuel for pathogens, act as toxins to your brain and body and burden your liver. So even though you may be able to tolerate them at this time because you still have a relatively vital liver and/or low levels in your tissues and organs, we ultimately advise to consume them sparingly to support your overall health and wellness.
