04. Affirmations

Affirmations are reminders for you, of the truth that exists in your soul. It is a declaration of a truth that you choose for yourself.

The divine hears everything you have to say. Even when you are alone, you are heard. Your words hold meaning.

Using affirmations repeatedly supports your alignment with these truths. Sometimes we don’t always believe the truth when we first hear it but then there is a moment when you shift and have greater awareness and a deeper sense of what the truth is.

Using affirmations is necessary in our modern world when every commercial and advertisement is selling you what you aren’t or don’t have and there are minimal sources of compassion and love simply letting you know how great, unique and incredible you are. We must write that script for ourselves in our own lives. Affirmations help you do this.

Instructions:

  1. Set your intention to select the affirmation(s) that is in your greatest good to use right now in your life. Adapt the intention specific to you as desired.

To continue working with affirmations:
  • Record yourself stating your affirmation(s), and play this recording back to yourself when you go to bed, when meditating or anytime you desire. Affirmations are most powerful when expressed through your own voice.
  • After you state your affirmation(s) ask yourself: "What would someone who truly believed in this affirmation do right now? Then act upon the flash of intuition you receive right after asking this question without trying to overanalyze. Sometimes it will be an easy solution and sometimes it requires courage and stretching yourself out of your comfort zone.
  • At the end of each day, take time to write and reflect on your experience working with these affirmations and the changes noticed when embodying this version of yourself.
    • What positive proof do you have right now that your affirmation is aligned with what you want in your life? What physical habits, mental thoughts, beliefs or action steps can you choose to start aligning with your affirmation?
  • Remember, affirmations are your mental messages. This is you projecting your affirmations into the world to support creation. Use your imagination to:
    • See it on a billboard in your colors
    • See a flashing neon sign with your affirmation(s)
    • See an airplane pulling your message across the sky or writing it in the sky
    • Hear the words in your mind
    • Hear the birds signing your affirmation(s)
Tips for your morning routine practice:
  • Give yourself enough time. You don’t want to feel rushed or fearful of being on time for your first thing of the day. This practice is about putting yourself first which may be completely new to you. Set an alarm for when you need to get dressed and ready for the day so you can focus on the present moment.
  • This morning routine practice is not about adding in things to do in the morning, it is about bringing conscious intention and awareness into the moment.
  • Pick a simple activity that really brings you into the present moment. It may be something that you really enjoy, like lighting a candle or putting on certain music.
  • Start with an activity that you already do, like maybe taking a shower. How can you use this activity to align yourself and find your center?
  • Keep track of your evolving morning routine so you can find what feels best for you and adapt this practice into a natural conscious flow.
