09. Self-Recorded Affirmation

Listening to pre-recorded affirmations or positive statements, is a powerful way to integrate the energy and affirm the statement within your being.

When listening to a recording of your own voice, you are able to receive the messages deep within your being, like you are talking to every cell and aspect of yourself. Release any judgment you may have of your voice and easily make your own voice recording on a phone or computer. Some free apps to use include the “Voice Memos” and “VoiceRecoder”.

If you are unable or really don’t want to make your own recording ask a loved one to record it for you as this may be easier for yourself to receive.

For guidance on creating your affirmation you may select one or more affirmations from the categories below to create an audio recording.

Instructions:

  1. Set your intention to create the affirmation(s) that is in your greatest good to use right now in your life. Adapt the intention to be as specific to you as desired.
    1. Refer here for more guidance on creating an affirmation.
  2. Use an app to create a recording of your chosen affirmation(s).
    • After you say the affirmation, feel what it would feel like for this affirmation to be true. Feel this feeling for a few seconds or as long as desired. Then say the next affirmation.
    • If you don't create a recording but still use the affirmations, use the same process of speaking the affirmation and feeling it before you say the next one.
  3. Listen or repeat your chosen affirmations ~7x. Write down each affirmation and/or add it to your journal.

Use this technique 3x/day for the next 5-7 days. *Unless otherwise directed.

  • Optionally, use your testing technique to determine your optimal frequency and duration to use this. You can also use it to determine the best affirmation to work with at the time.
Other tips on using your recording:
  • Listen to your recording looped as you sleep.
  • Use it as background sound during the day or when you are starting or ending your day.
  • Play it when doing your to do list tasks.
  • Use it during meditation.
