02. Soul Safety Self-Reflection

One of the primary roots of suffering, dis-ease and incoherent resonance is an underlying belief that you are not safe and under a chronic level of threat. Usually, this perception is associated with any type of past (including ancestral trauma) or present trauma that has not been completely resolved and/or is still playing out in real time within your soul.

Despite your actual physical, emotional and mental safety, there is a part of your soul that is always protected and safe. However, through hardship, trauma and/or loss there are some parts of your soul that can be wounded and broken. An essential aspect of your healing journey is to retrieve and reunite with these parts of you.

To get the most out of this self-reflection, it is best to set the intention to refrain from any type of positive or negative judgment and be neutral in your observation. Be open and curious about what you may discover about your sense of safety relative to your soul. Perhaps this may bring more compassion and mercy to support your healing journey.

Reflect on the prompts below for ~3-8 minutes, at least 1-2x/day for 1-2 weeks. *Unless otherwise directed.

  • You don’t have to do or change anything, this practice is focused on bringing your awareness to your sense of safety in your soul.
  • Perform this self-reflection again in about 2 weeks to assess your progress and to gather any new information to continue to support you and your greatest good.
  • Optionally, use your testing technique to determine your optimal frequency and duration to use this reflection technique or perform the Resourcing Safety Meditation.

Soul level safety self-reflection prompts:
  • Reflect on your current state of sensing that you are safe and secure in your soul such as feeling:
    • Disconnected from who you really are and your purpose in life
    • Like there is a part of you missing or feels dead inside
    • Separated from others, the world and beyond
    • Unable to access unconditional love
  • Do you notice an overall pattern or are there certain triggers which make you feel that way? What or who are they?
  • What are you fearful of?
  • Reflect on how you may still be under the perception that any past traumas (of any nature) might still be active in your soul. How might they be presenting themselves?
