05. Emotional Shifting Self-Reflection

You are not your emotions!

You are able to feel, hold on to, attach to and release emotions, but they are not a part of your identity. No matter how long you have held onto energy attached to an old story about yourself, belief or narrative, for whatever reason, it is always a good time to gently address that which is no longer true to you.

Emotions naturally come up within us to inform us of the Unconditional Love that is there or that is lacking. They are vibrational truths that hold information regarding what you are experiencing and how one or more parts of you feel about a certain situation, place, experience, etc. This supports you in identifying your needs, boundaries and how to optimally engage in any situation.

Depending on your emotional awareness, you may or may not know what you feel or when you feel it. You also may not know if it is yours, someone else’s or a collective pattern in humanity. This can make knowing where you are, who you are and what you feel very challenging to distinguish. This can unground you and lead you into false beliefs of Self and reality. Utilizing the Heart Witness self-reflection will assist you if accessing this type of emotional awareness is new or challenging to you.

Reflect on the prompts below for ~3-40 minutes, 1-3x/day for 1-2 days. *Unless otherwise directed.

  • You don’t have to do anything or change anything, this practice is focused on bringing your awareness to your emotions and shifting between them.
  • Perform this self-reflection again in about 4 weeks to assess your progress and to gather any new information to continue to support you and your greatest good.
  • Optionally, use your testing technique to determine your optimal frequency and duration to use this reflection.

Emotional Shifting self-reflection prompts:
  • Acknowledge how often you shift between different emotions.
    • It is important to be aware of your emotions and when you start and stop experiencing different emotions. This provides self-awareness and leads to conscious personal mastery.
  • As you identify different emotions, allow yourself to acknowledge the different parts or aspects of you that come alive or are more expressive, due to the emotional energy.
  • For support in identifying and labeling emotions, both positive and negative

If you are challenged with experiencing the transition of emotional energy try these techniques:
