05. Faith Self-Reflection

Faith is a critical aspect of taking you through your healing journey. For those that have been through much adversity and illness, faith can be quite difficult to resource. 

As you enter this world, you are born with pure faith which over your life can become diminished because of hardships, wounds, betrayals, loss, etc.

 

A key aspect of helping to restore your faith is to acknowledge the aspects of your health which are in good condition and working for you. This could be your heart pumping, lungs breathing, skin covering you, bones supporting you, muscles helping you move, aspects of your brain working, etc. This isn’t to disregard areas of your body that aren’t functioning optimally but to also have gratitude for what is.

In addition to what you do have going for you in your body, others may be helping you, even in the smallest ways such as offering a smile or kind word. Furthermore, your environment and nature provide support. Access to shelter, a bed, healthy food, air, water and the sun are critical foundations to healing.

 

Reflect on the prompts below for ~15-30 minutes for 2-3 days. *Unless otherwise directed.

  • You don’t have to do or change anything, just remain curious about yourself as you reflect on your relationship with faith. 
  • Perform this self-reflection again in about 4 weeks to assess your progress and to gather any new information to continue to support you and your greatest good.
  • Optionally, use your testing technique to determine your optimal frequency and duration to use this reflection technique.

 

Faith self-reflection prompts:
  • In what ways do you have or not have faith in your ability to heal? If you “have no faith,” when did this belief begin? Why do you think you have it?
  • List the ways in which your body is working for you and what you have gratitude for. State these aspects and your appreciation outloud to build upon your faith. 
  • List the ways in which others are helping you in your life. 
  • List the ways in which your environment can provide healing support to you.

 

Use the Golden Rope of Faith exercise by the Medical Medium to help fortify and restore your faith. Notice if your sense of faith has changed after the meditation exercise.
