16. Wall Push-ups

In this technique you are going to integrate your vision with the postural control of your upper body. It also helps to reinforce your physical perception of your boundary and personal space.

Instructions:

  1. Stand facing a wall with your arms straight and palms on the wall. 
  2. Press into the wall so that you round out your mid upper back opening the space between your shoulder blades. 
  3. Inhale softly, slowly and fully through your nose emphasizing the pressing of your palms into the wall to further open the space between your shoulder blades. 
  4. Exhale slowly and completely through pursed lips all the air out of your lungs as you bend your arms keeping your gaze straight ahead.
  5. With every inhale you will push away straightening your arms and with every exhale bend your elbows moving toward the wall.

Perform 10x, 1-3x/day. *Unless otherwise directed
