16. Lip Curl

This technique helps to train your lip seal so that you habitually keep your lips closed. The only time your lips should be apart is if you are talking, eating, drinking or exercising to the point where you need to breathe through your mouth to get enough air. 

Otherwise, your lips should stay closed while you breathe through your nose. If you have trouble maintaining a lip seal you may have a lip tie.

Instructions:

  1. Press and curl your upper lip up into your index finger as it presses down into it to create some resistance.
  2. Hold 15 seconds, then perform on each side.
  3. Complete 5x on the front and each side.

Perform 2-3x/day. *Unless otherwise directed

  • Optionally, use your testing technique to determine your optimal frequency and duration to perform.
