11. Contralateral Canine Tapping and Pucker

This technique helps to retrain your lip and jaw muscles for appropriate chewing mechanics which in turn supports your cranial, neck, jaw alignment. This further helps to optimize your postural system below.

Instructions:

  1. Pucker your lips together as if you were making a “fish face.”  Your teeth should be slightly apart.
  2. Keeping your lips together, move your lips to the left.
  3. While maintaining this position, tap your right canines together 50 times.
  4. Repeat on the other side and then return back to the right canine/left pucker.
  5. Complete 1-3 cycles, always starting and finishing with the left pucker smile and right canine tapping.

Perform 2-3x/day for the next 1-3 days and then as often as desired. *Unless otherwise directed.

  • Optionally, use your testing technique to determine your optimal frequency and duration to perform.
