We have found certain frequencies to facilitate increased nervous system and postural relaxation. It also depends whether you listen to them in the left ear, right ear or equally. What can provide even more power over regulating your nervous system is to actively generate the tone yourself through humming or toning certain vowels.
The app, "“Tone Generator,” allows you to play a specific frequency and use it as a metronome to try to match the tone.
The app, "PanoTuner"provides feedback to you about your toning and can be used to improve your ability to find specific tones and smoothly transition between.
