07. Opposite Tongue and Jaw

This technique helps to retrain your cranial bones, jaw and tongue relationships. This facilitates realignment of your cranial and jaw bones into a more neutral position which also helps to realign your postural system below.

Instructions:

  1. Place your tongue in the cave position with the tip of your tongue on the spot, sides of your tongue inside the upper molars and back of your tongue on the soft palate. 
  2. Slide your tongue to the left so that it contacts the inside of your upper left molars and palatal arch while your jaw moves slightly forward and to the right and ⅔ of its full range of motion. Hold for 7 seconds.
  3. Switch to the other side.
  4. Complete 10x each side, always starting and finishing with your tongue moving left/ jaw moving the right.

Perform 2-3x/day for the next 2-5 days and then as often as desired. *Unless otherwise directed.
