08. Hiking

Hiking gets you outdoors and surrounded by nature. Being in nature helps you reconnect your natural rhythms and provides healing in so many ways. Moving your body and enjoying a variety of outdoor trails re-wilds you from the common ways of our modern in-door society. 

Consider the following when choosing a hiking experience for yourself or use your testing technique create an optimal hiking experience for yourself.

  • What level of intensity is best: beginner = more level trails, expert = steeper inclines and challenging trails. 
  • What distance is best: <1 mile, 1-3 miles, <5miles, etc.
  • How often is it best to integrate hiking into your life: 1x/week, 3x/month, etc. 
  • What equipment you may need: footwear, water, snacks, etc.

Plan a hiking experience and/or go hiking within the next 2-4 days. *Unless otherwise directed.
