02. Frequency Listening

Healing through sound and frequencies is a powerful way to shift your experience, energetically balance yourself and attune to your true resonance. 

By simply exposing yourself to healing frequencies using a tone generator on your phone or computer, you are greatly improving your alignment physically, mentally, emotionally and even spiritually. 

There are many free tone generators out there. The “MultiTone Generator” and “Tone Generator: Audio Sound Hz” are easy to use and allow you to play specific frequencies so you may be fully encompassed by your selected tone(s). The MultiTone Generator allows you to select multiple frequencies at once as well as adjust the intensity of the tone and the ear(s) you want the tone in.

The Harmonic Resonance app plays specific patterns of tones together that can help with nervous system regulation.

Each frequency has its own qualities and attributes that support health, wellness and resonance on all levels of your being. Remember you will not hear every tone. The common range of human hearing is from 20 Hz - 20,000 Hz. 

Instructions:

Option 1: Follow the recommended progressions outlined below. If you are very sound sensitive, you may wish to start with the single tone progression before moving on to the harmonic progression.

Option 2: Browse the frequency options and intuitively choose one

Option 2: Use your testing technique to select one or more frequencies to listen to.

 

Recommended Single Tone Progression

Listen to the following frequencies by themselves or while doing any posture, movement, or breathing technique.

    1. Start with 233 Hz listening in your right ear. After 1-2 days alternate between right, left and right ears every few minutes. 
    2. Progress to 144 Hz listening in your right ear. After 1-2 days alternate between right, left and right ears every few minutes.
    3. Progress through the following with your phone placed near your left ear:
      1. 174 Hz
      2. 198 Hz
      3. 285 Hz
      4. 396 Hz
      5. 417 Hz
      6. 426 Hz
      7. 528 Hz
      8. 639 Hz
      9. 741 Hz
      10. 852 Hz

Listen for ~3 - 30 min.

You can enhance the effect of your exercise techniques while listening to the frequencies as you perform them. 

You may consider vocally toning the frequency you are listening to for added effect. 

As you listen, allow yourself to notice the unique attributes, energy and essence that the frequency is bringing you and enjoy the tone. Breathe.

Use this 1-2x/day for the next 2-7 days. If you are very sound sensitive, it may take awhile for you to work through the higher frequencies where you may  advance to a higher one every couple days.*Unless otherwise directed.

You may also use tuning forks of these frequencies instead of a tone generator.

 

 

Recommended Harmonic Progression

The Harmonic Resonance App can play harmonics of the solfeggio frequencies structured in the golden ratio. We credit Banah Winn with figuring out the healing impact of listening to frequencies structured in the golden ratio.

  1. Click "Golden"
  2. Typically, the lower tones are best tolerated and promote the most calming effect to the nervous system.
  3. To determine which frequencies are best for you:
    1. Start with 174 and highlight the lower frequencies starting with 25.4 and gradually add another taking notice of how your body feels. You are looking for a sense of relaxation or calm.
    2. When you sense your body tense up it means that whatever frequency you added created a stress response in your system.
    3. If you are looking to relax your nervous system, then play the frequencies that foster that feeling.
    4. If you are looking to train your nervous system to tolerate higher frequencies, then play the frequency set that contains the one that triggers your nervous system to become tense. Pair this with doing a posture, movement or breathing technique.
    5. Listen with your phone or whatever device is playing the frequency, near the midline of your body (not biased to the left or the right). If you are listening to them while laying down on your back you can put above the crown of your head.
    6. As you become more tolerant of the frequencies, you may try the other options in the following recommended order:
      1. 198
      2. 233 (not a solfeggio frequency but recommended to do)
      3. 264
      4. 285
      5. 396
      6. 417
      7. 528
      8. 639
      9. 741
      10. 852
      11. 963
