03. Creativity Self-Reflection

Creation is an invaluable healing tool that can take many different forms such as painting, writing, singing, dancing, cooking, gardening, building and more to simple acts such as tying your shoelaces in a new pattern or packing your bag in a novel manner.

We often think that what we create needs to be witnessed by others to matter. However, this is not true as when you create the divine is witnessing it. Furthermore, all your acts of creation are forever recorded into the eternal record. They will never be lost or forgotten.

Creation can be fueled by emotional energy where you alchemize your feelings into the creative process. To help ignite your creative spark it is suggested to take a walk of any kind setting your intention that it will help inspire your creative faculties. Likewise, you may take some time to meditate or even take a nap where your intention is that it will facilitate your creativity.

Reflect on the prompts below for ~15-30 minutes for the next 2-3 days. *Unless otherwise directed.

  • You don’t have to do or change anything, just remain curious about yourself as you reflect on your relationship with creativity.
  • Perform this self-reflection again in about 4 weeks to assess your progress and to gather any new information to continue to support you and your greatest good.
  • Optionally, use your testing technique to determine your optimal frequency and duration to use this reflection technique.

Creativity self-reflection prompts:
  • How do you currently express yourself creatively? Consider the smallest to the largest acts.
  • Do you block yourself in any way from creating? If so, why?
  • How do you feel when you create?
  • Are there other opportunities for you to creatively express yourself in your life right now?
