04. Molar Tapping

This technique may seem small but it has a big impact on your cranial bone and jaw alignment which then affects your posture below. Tapping your molar gives a powerful sensory input that supports postural alignment simply by letting them tap!

Your molars are the 4th-7th or 4th-8th (if you have wisdom teeth) over from the midline of your bite.

Equipment needed:

Instructions:

  1. Start in a supported seated position.
  2. Place your bite plate between the molars on your left side. Make sure the plate is only between your molars, not between your canines. See picture above for guidance.
    1.  It’s ok if it doesn’t cover all of your molars or if you are missing any molars.
  3. Tap your left molars together 50x.
  4. Then repeat this process by tapping on the right molars 50x.
  5. Complete 2-3 cycles of 50x left molars, 50x right molars, 50x left molars.

Perform 1-3x day for the next 4-7 days and then as desired. *Unless otherwise directly.

  • Optionally, use your testing technique to determine your optimal frequency and duration to perform.
