11. Freedom Self-Reflection

The essence of healing is actually all about freedom. Typically what ignites a healing journey is feeling stuck, unwell and even powerless, the opposite of feeling free. You may have reached an end point where you can no longer tolerate your current situation serving to spark initiative.

It is through your trigger(s) and the potential energy within your will and spirit that generate the kinetic energy of strength and perseverance to propel your healing journey. Yet, what this ultimately comes down to is making the choice to not only be open to new habits and ways of being but to actually embody them. This is how freedom is born.

You realize that you have options to choose from in your life and don’t need to be stuck in the same patterns. You learn how to break the chains that are binding you and open yourself up to new ways of being You.

Ultimately, you have the freedom to choose to heal but you need to know and believe that this is possible. It is important to understand that your body is always working for you, loves you and wants you to heal. You need to trust that your body is doing this for you. This is where faith comes into play.

We all deserve to be healthy and well. None of us deserve to suffer, experience chronic illness or hardships. Yet, the reality is that adversities come with the territory of being a human on  earth today. If you are one of those people who have experienced significant health issues, loss, betrayals, traumas and wounds, it is not your fault. Yet you do not have to continue being a victim to the patterns and restrictions they have created within you.

Where your power lies is embedded within the opportunity to heal from your wounds. When you heal darkness, you create light. Healing is working for the light which is a big deal and not to be overlooked or under-appreciated. This light spreads not just within you but everywhere in the universe. It’s magic and because it came from you, that means you are magic too.

Reflect on the prompts below for ~15-30 minutes for 2-3 days. *Unless otherwise directed.

  • You don’t have to do or change anything, just remain curious about yourself as you reflect on your relationship with freedom.
  • Perform this self-reflection again in about 4 weeks to assess your progress and to gather any new information to continue to support you and your greatest good.
  • Optionally, use your testing technique to determine your optimal frequency and duration to use this reflection technique.

Freedom self-reflection prompts:
  • What choices have you made that support your healing journey?
  • Sometimes in retrospect our choices at the time may seem to not have been the wisest. However, they ultimately serve a learning purpose. Can you identify any choices you previously made like this? What did you learn from them?
  • As you have moved along your healing journey what choices have you made for yourself which you wouldn’t have previously made?
  • At this time, are you able to identify any new choices that you can make to support your healing process?
