06. Digestion Protocol-old

When addressing digestion from a multi-dimensional perspective, nutritional integration is absolutely paramount. When we consider digestion, we often think primarily of the stomach and intestines. However, the organ that is oven most overlooked with regards to the digestive process is your liver. Your liver is your primary detoxification organ, regulates carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism, makes bile for fat digestion and also helps in the production of stomach acid. Thus, liver restoration is critical.

Digestive issues such as abdominal discomfort, reflux, indigestion, gas, bloating, diarrhea and/or constipation are primarily caused by a build-up of undigested rancid fats and putrefied proteins along the intestinal lining due to inadequate hydrochloric acid production in the stomach likely due to a stagnant and stressed liver. Viruses and bacteria (typically strep) can be feeding off the undigested rot along the intestinal lining causing further bloat, pain or dysfunction. A major key to healing this phenomenon is to eliminate foods that are creating the build-up and feeding the pathogens.

However, what is typically not considered in the digestive process is the impact of your posture and breathing in it. Your digestive system sits just below your diaphragm which acts as a pump to help facilitate digestive motility. If your postural alignment is off and your body is not able to move freely in 3 dimensions this negatively impacts the mechanics of your digestion.

Furthermore, there can also be underlying heart, mind and soul patterns that require unraveling to fully heal your digestive system.

There are 5 phases to this protocol with the average total duration taking approximately 11+ weeks.

  • Depending on your unique baseline status, you may require more or less time to successfully complete each phase. Take the amount of time you need. For really chronic conditions, you will likely require more time beyond what is specified in this protocol but the principles you learn from it and keep up with can take you there.
  • Ideally, you would perform all components of the protocol but if this is not feasible for you, simply do what you can.
  • Use your journal, accessed at the bottom of the page, to chart your progress and take notes.
  • Sample schedules are included for you to follow throughout each phase.
    • Our outlines suggest returning to knowledge items every other day, but you may take whatever time you need to explore.

Important Tips:
  • The biggest variability amongst protocol participants will be your nutritional compliance ability. Given the importance of the nutritional aspects of this protocol, if you are having difficulty following them it is recommended you consult Removing Blocks to Nutritional Changes or even do the Removing Blocks to Nutritional Changes Protocol first.
    • Each phase has different nutritional focuses. Ideally, you would continue with each dietary recommendation throughout the remainder of the protocol as they build upon one another. If this is not feasible, do what is for you at this time.
  • On each item page there will likely be different dosage recommendations from what is on the protocol outline. Perform according to the instructions provided in this protocol. Adapt as needed. Optionally, use your testing technique to determine which specific items and what dosage is best for you.
  • If you are having a hard time following the protocol or meeting the resonance checkpoints, consider:
    • Scheduling a 1:1 consulting session to individually support your unique needs and answer any questions you have
    • Submitting a question for the Weekly Q&A  for guidance
